Q3 FY2023 data now available

Q3 FY2023 data (for Jan 2023 to Mar 2023) is now available for download from the ‘Data download’ page.

WESTCONNEX TRAFFIC DISCLOSURES FOLLOWING OPENING OF THE M4-M5 LINK IN JANUARY 2023

On 20th January 2023 the M4-M8 link opened to traffic and commenced tolling. This marks the third stage of WestConnex and from this date the three WestConnex assets (M4, M8/M5E and M4-M8 Link) operate as a network where a single trip may involve travel on one, two or three assets.

Prior to this date all trips on WestConnex were mutually exclusive, i.e., a single trip could only involve a single asset, either M4 or M8/M5 East.

To avoid “double counting” single trips that involve multiples assets, travel on all WestConnex assets from 20th January 2023 will be reported in a single disclosure. This can be found under Road ‘WCX’ in the ‘Data download’ page.

The ‘Start Gantry Location’ and ‘End Gantry Location’ continue to provide the entry and exit points for WestConnex trips and can be used to determine the number of assets involved and path taken in each trip.

For the March 2023 quarter, travel occurring prior to 20th January 2023 has been reported in the existing M4 and M5E assets.
